Founded by Kate Brady in 2017, Darling & Domain was created from a love of beautiful things and a belief that shopping should be personal, inspiring and enjoyable. What began as a small lifestyle store has grown into a much-loved destination for women's fashion, homewares, furniture, gifts and everyday treasures. Our thoughtfully selected collection is designed to help you create a home you love, find the perfect gift, or discover something special for yourself.

Introducing Kate!
Kate grew up in Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula with her parents and 3 older brothers. When Kate was young and her brothers were out spending time with their friends or hanging out at the yacht club Kate was able to enjoy some one on one girls time with her mum Robin or as she is now referred to as Grandma Darling. Kate loved their quality time they got to spend together especially when they would go shopping (which was more often than not). Grandma Darling and Kate’s Grandmother both had a contagious love for fashion and enjoyed mixing colours, patterns and textures to curate outfits well ahead of their time. Although she didn’t realise it at the time, Kate was heavily influenced by their style and taste. Many years later Kate has developed the same love for all things colour.
When Kate moved to Perth in the early 2000s to be with her now husband Rob one of the biggest things she missed was Melbourne’s shopping, especially her favourite small boutiques. Since then it was Kate’s dream to open her own boutique that was inspired by her favourites from Melbourne. After Kate sold her other business and her three kids Maddy, Ben, and Zara got a little bit older she finally decided it was time to start her boutique she had been dreaming of.
The name Darling & Domain has a very sentimental meaning to Kate. Grandma Darling grew up on Domain Road in South Yarra where she lived until she married Kate’s father Robert. When Kate moved out of home the first apartment she moved into was in Darling Street South Yarra which intersects with Domain Road. Kate decided that giving her boutique the name Darling & Domain was the perfect way to pay tribute to her mum and the influence she’s had on Kate.
